Thank you for not smoking!

So I quit smoking today, and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am on the patch, which helps a lot. I started the day earlier than usual. I couldn't sleep. I had dreams of spiders eating my elbows. That was really weird. Anyhow, I received the patches about a week ago, but today I decided to finally use them. I figured I was just wasting time and pushing my quit date because I am addicted. So I said to myself, enough already. I put on my little patch, and have been smoke free for the past 24 hours. I haven't done this in a few years, so it means a lot to me.

On an average day I seek out the smokers, and there aren't that many. So I thought. Well today I felt like it the whole campus was full of smokers. I could smell for the first time in a long time the smell of smoke on my coat. I need to wash it. I smelled the soap on my skin, and the shampoo on my hair. I smelled pretty good today. Except for my coat. Well I hope I keep up my will power.
