Grant...

So for some reason I neglected to post my grant....Anyways, here it is. I sent it out to four different organizations about two weeks ago and have yet to hear back.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am contacting you in regards to an exciting new documentary project being undertaken here in the Theatre Arts Department at Stony Brook University.

The interconnectivity of technological ingenuity and the methods by which people interact has been forever changed by the advent of internet-based social networking sites. Blogs, vlogs, twitter feeds, and facebook “relationships” have rendered a contemporary context of uninhibited dialogue.

What is uninhibited? Meeting people, exchanging ideas, ranting aimlessly. Dating, even.

Online Dating.

The contemporary context that we strive for is to recognize the diversity and interconnectivity of all individuals - regardless of race, age, gender, sexual preference or socioeconomic level. How does online dating break down, build up or tether these forms of prejudice in today’s age of technological ingenuity?

Exploring this and so much more is at the core of this exciting documentary project underway at Stony Brook.

Kindly find attached an itemized budget for your reference.

I look forward to your response in how this project can further your organization’s mission in fostering creative dialogue and critical thinking as it connects to media arts.

Best,

Julien Touafek
