HAIR

Audience interactivity. Deftly alternates traditional proscenium style staging with lights and projects shot into the audience, as the show is "shot out of" the proscenium arch and into the audience. As the 2nd act becomes more plot-driven, projections cease, yet at the end the audience is invited up to dance with the performers in the closing number. Plus you can watch video of each performance's dance party. Does this project the audience into the values of the hippie movement? Maybe, or maybe not. But it sure doesn't hurt. Instead of merely describing a reaction, it provides a way to identify and express with the show's values. And have a bit of fun too.
