i'm on the MTA website, trying to figure out the train/subway schedule to get to the tank. i feel like a dork. you can ask the city folk about which connecting trains go where to where on the spot and they could answer you in a jiffy. if only my public transit skillz were up to par.
so far, i've got the LIRR schedule down. pretty easy considering they operate hour to hour. now, i need to attempt the subway system. pray for me! please! i feel like a shallow long islander who never stepped outside her boundaries. why can't i just take my broom out and fly to the tank?! that would be so much easier. there would be no fees. and no traffic. plus, i can sing "i believe i can fly" with the birds. and it would be quite appropriate.
