We call these little monkeys Sakiwinkis in Guyana. They can be quite friendly and often people keep them as pets, though I don't think they should be kept as pets. When I was younger, our neighbors had one chained to a tree and they would neglect him. My mom and I would get fruits and put it on a piece of wood and extend it over the fence so that he could get food. Sometimes the fruit pieces would fall in the yard and after the owners realized that we were feeding the Sakiwinki, they moved him from the tree. I don't know what they did with him but I just remember thinking that if you were going to keep an animal you should not punish them.
