The Proust Questionaire.

The Proust Questionnaire has its origins in a parlor game popularized (though not devised) by Marcel Proust, the French essayist and novelist, who believed that, in answering these questions, an individual reveals his or her true nature. Here is the basic Proust Questionnaire.

1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Eternal sunshine, no more monotonous errands/meaningless requirements, and the people I care about everywhere.

2. What is your greatest fear?
Not being able to help.

3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
My inability to ask for help when I'd rather do things myself.

4. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Selfishness.

5. Which living person do you most admire?
My family.

6. What is your greatest extravagance?
A collection of obsessions.

7. What is your current state of mind?
Anxious.

8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Kindness.

9. On what occasion do you lie?
When I want to avoid things.

10. What do you most dislike about your appearance?
The awkwardness.

11. Which living person do you most despise?
Those people on The Hills.

12. What is the quality you most like in a man?
Openness.

13. What is the quality you most like in a woman?
The same.

14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
"What's for dinner?"

15. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Pending!

16. When and where were you happiest?
As a kid, sitting in front of my tv.

17. Which talent would you most like to have?
To design and create unconventional clothing. Or play the piano like a G!

18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Learn to pay more attention.

19. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Making it through school.

20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
A wizard! Because I want to travel conveniently.

21. Where would you most like to live?
In a house with a wooden porch and swings.

22. What is your most treasured possession?
My life.

23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Suicide?

24. What is your favorite occupation?
Kid.

25. What is your most marked characteristic?
Always smiling.

Tolerance.

Chuck Palahniuk. Edgar Allen Poe.

28. Who is your hero of fiction?
SUPERMAN!

29. Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Not sure because I don't know them that well!

30. Who are your heroes in real life?
My family.

31. What are your favorite names?
Isabelle. Alexander (so I can call him Lex!)

32. What is it that you most dislike?
People who copy, an unwillingness to persist, and a lack of humor.

33. What is your greatest regret?
That I didn't try harder in school.

34. How would you like to die?
In my sleep.

35. What is your motto?
I had one, but I forgot.
